We’re growing our .NET team and looking for a Technical Lead & Product Manager to guide it. You’ll be someone who enjoys elegant system design, thoughtful architecture and seeing an idea through from first conversation to production.

You’ll lead the team technically, shape the product roadmap and work side by side with customers and stakeholders. It’s a role for an engineer who takes initiative and enjoys turning direction into delivery.

We build Open Banking APIs that help businesses connect to their bank accounts and make instant payments. Our platform links businesses with financial institutions in real time, giving them clear access to their financial data and a smoother way to manage cash flow.

The role

This is a hands-on leadership position that combines senior software engineering with product-minded solution design. You’ll stay close to the code while guiding the team’s technical direction and helping the product evolve, from the first customer conversation to the finished feature.

• Design and build scalable, secure and high-performing web applications and services on .NET, owning the architecture
• Act as technical lead through code review, architectural guidance and mentoring, helping developers do their best work
• Partner with stakeholders and customers to understand needs and shape solutions
• Help shape the roadmap, including scoping, estimation and prioritisation, and lead delivery via backlog and sprint planning
• Act as primary technical contact, leading discussions, demos and progress updates
• Oversee CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, deployments and monitoring, keeping systems reliable, observable and efficient
• Champion quality through clear standards, testing strategy and review practices, and keep improving how the team works
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, API specifications and operational procedures
• Provide ongoing production support and lead critical incidents, from coordination through to post-incident analysis
• Work in line with our confidentiality, data security and regulatory standards

What we’re looking for

Technical

• 10+ years in software development
• C# 7+, .NET Core, MVC 5 and Web API
• MS SQL, Azure Table/Queue and Blob Storage
• Distributed caching and caching strategies
• Dependency Injection
• REST API design and secure authentication (Cookie, OAuth, JWT, OpenID)
• Strong command of SOLID principles and Clean Architecture, with a commitment to maintainable and scalable code
• DevOps, CI/CD and Azure deployments
• Frontend experience with JavaScript and Ajax

Leadership & Product

• Experience leading a development team, from planning work and reviewing code to keeping delivery on track
• A track record of working with stakeholders or customers to define what to build and why
• Comfort running standups, planning sessions and retrospectives
• The ability to write clear, focused specs and technical documents
• Ease in customer conversations, from presenting a demo to capturing what people need
• A proactive mindset, with an eye for spotting issues early and moving things forward
